The eLearn 2 Earn program is designed for use in local community technology centers and afterschool programs. The program is comprised of web-based learning modules based on custom content and existing online educational resources.  The goal of the program is to promote skills development in the subject areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Financial Literacy and Civic Education based on California Department of Education standards.

Requirements for the program:

Each site wishing to take part in this free program should be able to meet the following requirements:

1. You must have enough computers to allow for 10-15 students to work at their own pace. Note: Some sites rotate their student if they do not have enough computers for all students.

2. The 10-15 students should be in middle school grades. Usually these students are 10-14 years old. They should also be able to know how to log onto a computer and have basic computer/internet skills.  If not, then it is up to you, the coordinator, to help these students.

3. Your computers should be capable of accessing the internet using a high speed internet connection. (DSL or Cable) Your computers should also be able to use such programs as Microsoft Office, Google Earth, and Flash. Internet Explorer and Firefox web Browsers are preferred.
