About The Program
The eLearn2Earn program is designed for use in local community technology centers and afterschool programs. The program is comprised of web-based learning modules based on custom content and existing online educational resources. The goal of the program is to promote skills development in the subject areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Financial Literacy and Civic Education based on California Department of Education standards and enGauge 21st Century skills.
The core subjects include Internet Safety, Financial Literacy, Computer Literacy, Civic Engagement and Career Exploration. Each core subject contains a required module and several electives.
Participants earn “eBucks” for each lesson they successfully complete. They can then spend the eBucks on prizes like movie tickets, Nintendo DS/ games and digital cameras.
Suggested Program Schedule
The schedule for the program is flexible and depends on your availability. If you require the assistance of our staff, it is helpful to have a preset schedule. 5 Days a week for 8 weeks, 1 Hour of facilitated lab time Additional open lab time available for youth to work independently
